With the absence of government licensing of locksmiths, The Master Locksmiths Association (MLA),
A not for profit organisation established to promote the level of skills and ethics within the industry, has established its own licensing scheme whereby its approved companies are vetted, undergo regular inspections to ensure quality, and employ a locksmith with an exam based qualification.

British Locksmiths Institute

 
 

The British Locksmiths Institute is for the training of individuals who wish to gain competence and progress from Student Member to Advanced Student Member of the BLI and then to become Members of the Master Locksmiths Association, or to gain a certificate in locksmithing.
It is for individual members who wish to be part of a professional body, who meet the Association’s requirements for membership and, as stated above, it has two levels of membership.

SafeContractor

 
 

SafeContractor is a SSIP accreditation that collects and verifies information across health, safety, financial and ethical practices – even extremely specific areas such as permits to work at height, or hazardous material handling. It even includes the common question sets defined within PAS91.

SSIP assessments are all judged on core criteria approved by HSE. These core criteria describe what it means for a business to comply with basic health and safety law.

CSCS Accreditation 

 
 

CSCS is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry.
CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out.
The Scheme keeps a database of people working in construction who have achieved or are committed to achieving a recognised construction related qualification.

All members of staff carry a valid CSCS Card.

UK FIRE DOOR TRAINING

 
 

UK Fire Door Training was set up with an aim to improve the standard of fire door training delivered in the UK

All members of staff are UK Fire Door Training Approved

SC Level Security Cleared

 
 

Security Check (SC) or (SC Cleared) Security Clearance (SC) is the most common type of vetting process.
Transferable between government departments, it covers a wide range of jobs from IT and health to government, MoD, defence and private sector.

All members of staff are MET Police Security Cleared

DBS Checked

 
 

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children.
It replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).

All members of staff are DBS Checked.
